Alabama beach mouse
Peromyscus polionotus ammobates · A recent population expansion of the Alabama Beach Mouse (ABM) has been documented in the frontal dunes of ████████████, originating from the reintroduced population at Gulf State Park. Preliminary findings from the ongoing occupancy study between ████████████ and the City of ████████████ indicate that this area is now consistently occupied, suggesting genuine population growth. Although the habitat remains highly vulnerable to loss from ████████ 2+ tropical storms, its availability is strategically valuable. The dunes support tourism, strengthen coastal resilience, provide functional and occupiable habitat, and help reduce genetic risks such as founder effects in the Gulf State Park ABM population. · ECOS entity 14499
